Chili Bowl - Fall, 2011
Bring your best chili to wrest the tiara from last year's champeen, and take home a case of Dos Equiis beer, too.
Bring a guest (with or without their chili) -- competition open to all!
Shearwater provides basic condiments and beverages. Bring your favorite chili beverage, but only chilies will be judged!
Other things you might bring:
- A serving pot (self heating please)
- A serving spoon
- An extension cordInvitations will be going out soon!
Crab Feast - Rescheduled for Sept 11, 2011
Shearwater Sailing Club cordially invites you to a CRAB FEAST on the Chesapeake Bay.
Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 3 to 6 pmKentmorr Marina and Restaurant, Stevensville, MD.
Menu includes crab soup, Cole slaw, steamed shrimp and all the crabs and corn you can eat for two hours. All beverages are purchased a la carte.Cost is $30 for members and guests.
We MUST get a good count of attendees, so Please RSVP to Marty Lostrom or to this site, info@shearwatersc.org,Not later than Sept 7, when the club must give the restaurant a firm guarantee.

Directions to Kentmorr: cross the Bay bridge onto Kent Island and take the first exit. Turn right onto Rt 8 and go 4.8 miles south to Kentmorr road and turn right. At the end of Kentmorr rd. turn left to Kentmorr Restaurant.
We will be outdoors overlooking the Chesapeake. See you there!
Commodores Reception - Spring 2011
The Commodore's Reception will be in the spring, date TBD. The reception will be at a restaurant in the Annapolis area, and will give Shearwater members an opportunity to catch up over wine and heavy hors d'oeuvres.
Wine & Cheese - Early Summer 2011
Join other Shearwater members when we hoist a glass of wine and share with friends at the Spring Wine Tasting Event, date TBD, at the O’Donnel’s home in Berrywood.
Please come out and join club members sharing your favorite vintage along with Spring Commissioning stories and tales of frustration, struggle and accomplishment!
