The Ship's Store inventory has dwindled down so I am planning to reorder. Please email Don Frye with your preferences: donaldfrye (at) verizon.net
Here is are some items that have gone well in the past:
-Denim Shirts. These have been popular in the past and are available in men's and women's sizes. Also
Available in ladies' sleeveless versions. Generally, prices run $25-$27.
-Polo shirts. These are available in both men's and women's sizes and are available in sleeveless models for the ladies also. They are also available in a variety of colors and in both long and short sleeves. Prices run, again from $25-$27.
-Sweatshirts. Available in a variety of colors but generally in men's sizes only. Prices generally around $20 or so.
We can also get fleece vests, sweaters etc. However, I would prefer to only order those on guaranteed purchases so that the club doesn't get stuck with excess inventory. Please remember in choosing colors that the club burgee is in medium blue with gold piping which doesn't stand out well against medium blue backgrounds.
So, what are you interested in? Please let me know the type of items, colors, sizes, etc. and I will try to have them in time for the crab feast. We will need a minimum order of 12 items to get a run. If you are looking for caps, we can get those also with a separate order of 12 as they run on different machines.

The Hospice Cup Regatta races were washed out this year, but the party continued as strong as ever.
After sitting for an hour or more after the scheduled first gun in a dead calm accompanied by intermittent downpours, the RC determined that no wind would be forthcoming and all races were abandoned on all 3 racing circles. Thanks to the participants for coming out in spite of the predictions and giving it a go.

The CBPSA/RRBC Dun Cove Race and Raft -- Saturday June 21
SSC members are invited to participate in the Dun Cove Race and Raft-up. The Chesapeake Bay Pearson Sailing Association (CBPSA) and Rhode River Boat Club (RRBC) with the help of SSC member Tom O'Farrell organize an informal race from the mouth of West River, down around Tilghman point and finish near the mouth of Harris Creek. Participants then raft up in Dun cove for the night. This is a fun overnight cruise event.

The wine and cheese was actually wine and hors d’oeuvres, and there was a fine variety of everything, making for a very enjoyable event.

Commodore's Banquet was held at the Severn Inn in Annapolis.
This was well attended and very enjoyable. The highlights included a thank-you award to the Gibsons for hosting the GOB party for many years, and the Pearl Diver Award (with Oak Leaf Cluster) to Charlie Husar for losing another crew overboard during the Twilight survival race. Many thanks to Donna Paden for making all the arrangements for the banquet, as well as for the wine and cheese party. Her efforts are greatly appreciated.

Stay tuned for news of this year's chili bowl!
Some Good Old boats head for the start.
Good Old Boats raft up in Mill Creek in front of Sailor's Wharf

You could almost walk across the creek!
Hospice cup racers wait for wind and less rain, to no avail.
RC finally gave up and sent the racers home.
